In Case You Missed It….John & Max on KNPR’s State Of Nevada

December 30, 2009 By: John Curtas Category: Chefs, Food, Interviews, KNPR, Reviews

Here is the link to yesterday’s State Of Nevada program on Nevada Public Radio featuring interviews with everyone’s-favorite-celebrity-journalist Robin Leach, “intuitive forager” Kerry Clasby, our Top Five Pet Restaurant Peeves, and yet another installment of everyone’s favorite rapid fire feature of restaurant fulminations: Eat It Or Beat It!

Restaurants reviewed:

Lindo Michoacan

Tommy Pastrami

David Burke

Heading into Atlanta today to check out Holeman & Finch Public House (thanks to a tip from ELV reader Garron G.), after a stellar meal at the 5 & 10 Cafe in Athens last night. 5 & 10 — owned by James Beard nominee Hugh Acheson — does some pretty remarkable updated southern fare. Peanut risotto, Christmas lima bean soup, panko dusted catfish, and some killer oysters Bienville.

Two and a half days here and we’ve yet to chow down on a single piece of ‘cue! What’s this world coming to?

Happy New Year’s Eve Eve from Athens (Georgia, not Greece)!

Thanks for sharing this with us! The Robin Leach interview is especially enlightening. It’s amazing to see how far this town has come in the last 20 years, and hopefully we have a bright future ahead of us in the next 20.

The interesting thing about Robin Leach is he is possibly the worst guest you can have at your restaurant. His M.O. Is to come in with cheap “escorts” and act distgusting at the table. He is sort of infamous for his behavior and is banned from more than a few strip restaurants.
