Tune In Tomorrow – John & Max Return to KNPR’s State Of Nevada

October 29, 2009 By: John Curtas Category: Food, KNPR, Rant, Reviews, Wine

Tune in tomorrow morning food fans, at 9:00 am, on News 88.9 FM KNPR’s State Of Nevada (or listen in at www.knpr.org) for more delightful dish from the disputatious dining divas known John & Max, as we discuss, debate, and dissect (for your delectation) such diverse, delicious delectables as:

> Fine wine times and the changing Las Vegas culture in all things grapey with Master Sommelier/winemaker Kevin Vogt;

> The beginnings and growth of the Slow Food movement in Southern Nevada;

> Uber-media guy Steve Freiss on how Las Vegas hotels are blowing a big marketing opportunity surrounding this season of Top Chef Las Vegas;

> Our first Bottom Five: The Worst of the Worst Fast Food Entrees in America; followed by;

> Eat It Or Beat It: featuring formidable food fights over either fabulous favorites or flagrantly flaccid food flops.

    “The Fork & The Spoon”: I like it!

    And YAY for bringing Steve Friess on today’s show! He’s been so right on Vegas not taking full advantage of “Top Chef”, and it’s nice to see Rick Moonen & Wynn Resorts now taking his advice.

    KNPR often has unexplainable delays with these things….ELV will try to (diplomatically) light a fire under their well-meaning but often slow-moving public radio derrieres…
