Emily is our favorite waitron at Marche Bacchus, while Ashley has appeared so often on Eating Las Vegas, she practically deserves an Irving G. Thalberg Lifetime Achievement Award for Hot Hostessing.

Catching them together at Simon was almost too good to be true…but unfortunately, while he was taking this lovely snap, he had to convey some bad news….or good news depending on your perspective.

And that news is: ELV is going away for awhile. To the city of big shoulders, deep dish pizza, and neon green hot dog relish. Contractual obligations prevent us from giving too much information, but suffice it to say that networks and cameras are involved, and we shall spend the next six days all dressed up, cracking wise, stuffing our pie hole and ridiculing Al Mancini.

Could something big come out of this? Perhaps, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

For now, we shall have scant time to pay attention to this site, the restaurants of Las Vegas, or our loyal readers, and we hope all of you will understand.

A trip to Chicago — that’s how Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and Rachel Ray all got their starts.
    Have fun!

That’s my neck of the woods. I’d offer to meet up so I could buy you a drink, but I’m sure you’ll be working hard. Hope our fair city rolls out the red carpet for you. Enjoy!

Well well! Hope you’re open to a celebratory return home, that is if your big city sensibilities arent put off from us small town plebes.
