ELV doesn’t wish to alarm anyone, but the brunches at Marche Bacchus are getting frighteningly good.
In other words, Chef Joe Swan seems to be hitting his stride.
His house-made hash (with just the right balance of crispy potatoes to corned beef) is worth a special trip, and that lobster BLT (made with pork belly), is just about the perfect thing to go with a crisp chardonnay (or a steely Riesling), consumed on MB’s patio on a lazy weekend afternoon.
ELV has no idea what the above repast cost, since the bill (including a nice Alsatian Riesling) was picked up by über-attorney Tracy Eglet. Thanks über-attorney Tracy!

Posting these kinds of photos while I’m having a crappy yogurt at work should count as terrorism. Looks incredible.
Atta boy Swanny!…… Keep crushing them!
Chef Joe is doing so many good things – his new lunch items, dinner and now this. Great, great stuff!
Fatback looks nearly raw. Not my style. If it was cooked….yumm.
