FORTE to be Featured on KLAS TV (CBS) Channel 8’s Dishing and Dining

July 13, 2011 By: John Curtas Category: Chefs, Food, KLAS TV

Eating Las VegasĀ® can only spend so much time crying over spilled milk (in this case, the closing of Rosemary’s), so in honor of FORTE’s being featured on KLAS TV’s Dishing & Dining with Denise Valdez tomorrow, we at ELV thought we’d post a few more of our tasty snaps of another meal there….including those of a couple of wayward chefs who happened upon us one night as we were polishing off some Bulgarian beer and some patatas bravas…

It is funny sometimes how sentiments run in similar fashion – one of the first thoughts that came to mind when hearing of the Rosemary’s demise is just how much of a gem Forte is, and how rare such places are in this city. Folks who really care about their product, and it is amazing how much of that “love” shows up on the plate. You feel like you have just stumbled into a place off of an alley in Sofia, Prague or maybe Bucharest. So un-Vegas that it can not possibly work, right? But it is working, and seeing this kind of attention makes us also feel better about our own experiences. We love the place, but question whether or not romanticizing about wanting them to succeed had overly impacted our taste buds. Hell, maybe we are right after all…
