Two Great Deals

Our staff has been remiss in telling our loyal readers about two great deals on the Vegas food and wine scene.

Most insiders have known for years that Spago in the Forum Shops always has a few tables set aside for locals on even the busiest days. This subtle-but-effective VIP treatment has kept natives flocking here — always knowing a smile and a table will be secured just by letting the hostess know you’re a resident.

Now, in celebration of its 20 year anniversary on the Vegas restaurant scene, the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group is (slightly) formalizing this insider treatment with a “Compliments of the Chef” program that gives priority reservations, preferred seating, and a complimentary dessert to couples if they simply tell the reservationist or hostess they are locals when booking a table. Sweet.

Best of all, all of these special considerations will now be implemented at all six Puck restaurants in our humble burg.

Not to be outdone, the Aria Hotel and Casino is now offering 1/2 off on all bottles of wine, in all of its restaurants to locals, on all bottles of wine in its nine major restaurants. The only caveats being 1) the discounts are good only from Sunday-Thursday nights, and 2) they are only good on bottles costing less than $500.

The thinking being, if you’re the type who spends over $500 on bottles of wine (and let’s face it who isn’t?), you should neither want nor deserve such a discount.

Here is a list of those oh-so-accommodating Puck restaurants for locals (along with their reservation phone numbers):

CUT – 702.607.6300

Spago – 702.369.6300

Postrio Bar & Grill – 702.796.1110

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill – 702.891.3000

Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina – 702.238.1000

Lupo – 702.740.5522
