This must be some kind of food court….and it must be some kind of food court! How else to explain this highly schizophrenic sign on East Flamingo near UNLV — to the right of which also advertises everything from hot dogs to Philly cheese steaks and Mediterranean food.
Glatt kosher indeed.

Q. What is a Jewish American princess’ favorite position?
A. Facing Bloomingdale’s.
Glatt kosher Chinese restaurants are not uncommon in places such as New York City. There’s one in Las Vegas called Big Dragon off of Flamingo near Grand Canyon. I’d rate the food as “entirely edible”, but nothing special, and very expensive, presumably due to restrictions on the ingredients used. I also find it just weird to read a Chinese menu with no shrimp or pork on it.
Frankly, not too far away from Big Dragon on Charleston between Hualapai and Town Center is Ho Ho Ho. It’s not China Mama, but it’s sure not bad and is in roughly the same neighborhood. Unless your diet requires it, I really can’t come up with a good reason for someone to eat at Big Dragon.
