One down, three to go

ELV tried to eat at Lolita’s, but after waiting 2o minutes for a waiter to show up (in a restaurant that wasn’t 1/4 full and had a manager and five waitrons milling about) he decided to walk across the sidewalk to Yard House.

We would’ve preferred YH in the first place, but wanted to give Lolita’s a shot. From the looks of things, a Lolita’s death watch is in order, and from the look of its boring menu, there’s no reason to return.

The reason to prefer YH is because of its great Béarnaise sliders. Filled with fresh ground Angus beef, smothered in fried onions, and sitting on a mushy, cushy, slightly sweet and very fresh bun, they are one of the great burgers in all of Vegas.

Four of these beauties only cost $10.45, which includes a passel of very good french fries, and a Béarnaise sauce that won’t exactly threaten Jacques Lameloise, but had a nice pepper kick and was mighty darn tasty just the same.

Just thought you’d like to know.

What do you expect for a restaurant named after a pedophile novel (which is a very fine piece of literature and film) and has young looking girls licking lolipops in its ads….lol The food / service / style mirrors a 13 year old girl’s whims.

I had the bernaise sliders last Friday at Red Rock station and they were above average; not too great, not too bad. That is until 15 minutes after I left the restaurant and had to make a mad dash to the restroom. Obviously the bernaise was re-used from the previous day or left out too long. I was there around 6pm on a Friday, so I hope they would have made a new batch or batches for service. However, my stomach cares to differ. Never ordering them again from yard house. I’d rather drink a bottle of mineral oil.

Sorry to report that a group I was with last saturday had the same issue with food served at the yard house. Of six folks, three has the runs after eatting the food. We called the Clark County health Dept to report food posioning. Yikes. They got a quality control problem.
