Holy Cabeza Batman! Taco Trucks Invade Downtown!

Just when we thought all was lost; when we felt like a St. Louis Rams fan, when gastronomic justice seemed remote as Roman Polanski….along comes a taco truck sitting at the corner of Third and Bonneville to restore our faith in humanity.

For if quality tacos can make a go of it, why not pizza? Or a decent sandwich shop?

A pipe dream? Perhaps, but a man can dream can’t he? The pickin’s are so slim in this neck of the woods that we’d settle for a good hot dog stand.

These tacos won’t cause Los Antojos or Los Tacos to lose any sleep, but they’re a might tastier the most of the low-rent rations that passes for sustenance within a half-mile radius of the Clark County Courthouse.

The counter-lady (whose English was about as good as ELV’s French) told us they have to move the truck every hour or so to avoid getting a ticket. But downtown they are, and they’ll be moving around these environs from morning through lunchtime…giving ELV something to get excited about.

Besides playing “spot the toothless hooker” with his office mates.

YAY! We finally have our own version of Kogi. Take THAT, LA! :-p

OK, so these aren’t Korean BBQ tacos. Still, I’ll take ‘em. Any chance they’ll evade the Henderson PoPo’s to bless Green Valley with some comida muy buena?

Great news for people who like to hunt for their food. I am looking forward to trying the kimchi tacos at Bosa 1, of course I’d need to actually be awake at midnight to try them so we’ll see how that goes. But if they are half as good as the broken rice dishes and other tasty items on the standard menu, they will be worth staying up late for. And I won’t have to search for their location – which is nice.
