ROSEMARY’S BBQ Shrimp with Maytag Blue Cheese Slaw

This shrimp dish:…has been served at Rosemary’s since day one, is the first thing ELV ever ate at the restaurant, and to this day, retains its exalted position on the top left of the menu.

The first time we tried it we blurted out: “Wow, finally, someone besides yours truly understands how well barbecue sauce and blue cheese go together!” BTW: the shrimp are pretty darn tasty too.

If chef/owner Michael Jordan ever takes it off the menu, Eating Las Vegas and his entire staff, vow to picket the restaurant clothed only in an apron and a pair of orange clogs.

It costs $12.

Just thought you’d like to know.

  1. Scary, please, Jordan chefs, I beg you: leave the shrimp on the menu! I don’t need to see JC in an apron and orange clogs (you are so much chicer than that). For the record, I also really like those shrimp — absolutely fantastic.

  2. I couldn’t agree with Josh more. Since my very first visit, this dish has captivated my pallet and brought me back again and again!

  3. To me, the best part of this dish is that the sauce itself is not sweet. The natural sweetness of the shrimp adds that component, while the sauce adds spice.

When we were there I found other parts of our meal to be hit and miss.

But this was definitely a hit, and worth the trip.
