Encore at Wynn, or The Encore at The Wynn, or simply Encore, looks to be an identical bookend to its sister hotel. ELV is told, however, that it will have 600 less rooms and only 5 restaurants (Wynn has 11), plus another Victor Drai-run nightclub (whoo-hooo!)*

Those restaurants will be: Theo’s – helmed by Theo Schoenegger (formerly of San Domenico in New York and Patina in L.A.) – featuring upscale, market-driven Italian cuisine; Botero Steak - with 2007 KNPR and KLAS Top Toque Mark LoRusso at the stoves – featuring….uh….er….we’re guessing beef(?); Switch – headed by former Le Cirque (Las Vegas) Chef Mark Poidevin (one of ELV’s favorite chefs in the world); and a yet-to-be-unnamed upscale Asian-Thai-sushi restaurant (serving lunch and dinner) to be run by Jet Tila – scion of the First Family of Thai Supermarkets in Southern California, according to our source.

Whatever you’re supposed to call it, the hotel is slated to open around Christmas time.
