Favorite foodie friend Dr. Keita Sakon alerted us to the opening of this place yesterday, and, always on the lookout for pristine Japanese eats, we zeroed in on the location like a Zeke heading for the Ticonderoga. (Okay, maybe that’s not the best analogy, since those Zeros were trying to kill Anthony John (Cutsumpas) Curtas – 1926-2006 – the Official Father of ELV, but you get the idea.)

Is the seafood pasta at Nakamura-Ya the best thing on the menu? Possibly, but the Jidori chicken miso pasta (tasty snap #2) is mighty fine too…as are the little Kurobuta pork links in a bright tomato sauce over tender lettuce leaves (tasty snap #3).

This morning we listed our Top 5 Spring Mountain Road Japanese restaurants on Channel 3. As usual, you’ll have to advance to the 35:08 minute mark to see how everybody’s turning Japanese these days — by eating some of the tastiest, prettiest, healthiest and most reasonably-priced food in town.
