ELV’s Thought for the Day
When it comes to Chinese food I have always operated under the policy that the less known about the preparation the better…A wise diner who is invited to visit the kitchen replies by saying, as politely as possible, that he has a pressing engagement elsewhere. – Calvin Trillin

Restaurant reviews, quips, picks and pans-with some seriously salivating history-from the man who eats his way through Sin City every day.

John, any chance you can do a piece on any of the special strip Chinese New Year festivities (in particular Wing Lei). I was out there (an East Coast boy) once during the new year and after having dined sumptuously at Red 8, I walked around the corner and didn’t even know about Wing Lei’s pricey but unbelievable offering. For something like $50 bucks all you can eat dim sum and high quality buffet….it looked crazy.
