Getting caught canoodling can put one in a pickle. But if it happens at Noodles, whilst slurping umami-rich, seafood udon, or salivation-stimulating Singapore dry curry, all will be forgiven.

It had been years since we last slurped down those wonderful wheat noodles here, and since The Food Gal was picking up the bill, it seemed like a perfect time to slurp over them and her.

But she didn’t seem to mind…especially when those thick, satisfying ribbons of udon were whetting her whistle. Less wet, but equally compelling were the vermicelli noodles  tossed with sweet, roasted pork strips and big, succulent shrimp. The whole shebang was coated with a deeply-flavored Singapore dry curry spice concoction that was so good, we finished the whole thing even though we were far from hungry.

That shebang cost The Food Gal $55.

The canoodling was free.
