Dear ELV,
Your name came up when my wife and I were eating at Nora’s on W. Flamingo last Saturday night. After a terrible experience, we looked at your old review and obviously came up with a different opinion.
The service was ghastly, the pasta dishes were too salty and the salads were doing the breaststroke in dressing. Even getting a glass of wine was a chore.
The server apologized three times and it became apparent that there is not enough service and bus help – maybe it’s the economy, but the place was busy. Anyway, I thought I would pass this on to you.
Yours very truly,
Noxiously Nonaccepting Of Nora’s

Dear NoNoNora’s,
While ELV remains a huge fan of the Mauro family and the work they do at Nora’s Wine Bar and their cocktail lounge at the original Nora’s, we must regrettably agree with you that the food and service at the original is often a step (or three) behind that at the newer venture.
Perhaps you were confused by my coverage of both venues, but here is the link to my last review of Nora’s (The Original). As you will see, it was none too favorable.
All the best,
ELV
