more on Vitner Grill please, a further exploration of the menu is needed! My first meal here was outstanding, the second one was good but it missed the stellar performance of the first outing, its been ages since I’ve been back and I’m hoping I just caught an off night, I am rooting for Vintner Grill to be better than I recall!

Egads! This place is way west of everything! (A little deja vu, ehh?) What’s next, ELV, Pahrump? Lake Mead?

Are you seeing a trend where good chefs are leaving the Strip to start their own place in Summerlin or Henderson or wherever? Great local neighborhood restaurants, like Rosemary’s on Sahara?

rjwong – when you are here next be sure to also check out Hachi inside Red Rock Resort (www.ilovehachi.com) and Marche Bacchus located in the Desert Shores area of Summerlin (www.marchebacchus.com) – also voted John’s best neighborhood restaurant on the west side. Both great local places with high caliber chefs. Chef Linda Rodriguez at Hachi worked for Nobu for many years (both in London and NYC) and was the Exec Chef at BondSt in NYC for 8 years. Chef Jean Paul Labadie at Marche Bacchus worked for Emeril Lagasse for 14 years – starting off next to Emeril inside his New Orleans restaurant when Emeril was still a chef and not just a TV personality.
