ELV’s staff is famous for its sayings, one of which goes: “If you want a great dessert in a Chinese restaurant, go to a French one.”
Of course those bon mots can’t compete with the ghost of Ambrose Bierce, but these don tots of custard-y egg custard can compete with many a dessert in almost any restaurant.

It’s no secret that ELV is a big fan of Vegas’ “Chinatown.” We love all of its funky, healthy, inexpensive and weird idiosyncrasies.
In fact, we pride ourselves in trying to like everything there is to eat there, from durian to beef pizzle.

We’ve been saying it for seventeen years and we’ll keep saying it ’til we’re blue in the face: If you want some of the best, and healthiest, and most interesting and cheapest food this town has to offer, haul your keister up and down the 3.2 mile long stretch of Spring Mountain Road between Rainbow and Valley View, and duck into almost any of the 58 restaurants located there.
