ELV may be a little late to the party on this one, but Coolio’s cooking videos are a hoot and a half.

If you don’t mind kidnappings, profanity, violence, dime bags in the kitchen, and a little ghetto slang with your garlic bread (not to mention do-rags, vibrators and hot chicks), these are more fun than shooting monkeys in a barrel:

New York Post Prints Vicious Hyperbole, Yawn

As Dorothy Parker once said of another’s writer’s work: “It was written without fear and without research.”

The story’s title read: VEGAS: 10 Strip restaurants to skip, and contained all the thoughtfulness you would expect from a newspaper prone to headlines like this:http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4048/nypkl8.jpg

The authors — David Landsel and Andy Wang — purport to tell tourists what famous eateries they should avoid in our humble burg. In no particular order, the authors toss rotten tomatoes at: Guy Savoy, Bouchon, Rao’s, all Wolfgang Puck restaurants, Picasso, Restaurant Charlie, Wazuzu, Beso, Tao, and anything and everything at Mandalay Bay(?).

Casu Marzu German Cheese Video!

ELV knows a little German. He’s sitting right over there.

He also knows a bit about casu marzu cheese — that Sardinian soft specialty that’s an acquired taste if ever there was one.

In fact, if you’ve ever had a hankerin’ for ingesting some live maggots with your fermented curd — and let’s face it who hasn’t? — then this is just the cheese for you (translation services upon request):

One of the reasons you can’t get this delicacy in these here United States of America is because the eating of it often causes vomiting and diarrhea, and the little mouth hooks on those cute little worms have been known to play havoc with human stomach and intestine linings…
