Like a few other time-worn and treasured eateries, Delmonico has been around so long we tend to take it for granted. (Eating Las Vegas is gruntled by the fact that our food revolution has now been going on for so long that we actually have excellent restaurants that can be considered gastronomic treasures. When we moved back to Vegas in September 1990, the town’s idea of a gourmet landmark was Piero’s and the Alpine Village Inn.)
It may be just the tips of the iceberg, and ELV is not one to rack these things up to mere coincidence, but it seems lately that his cups have runneth over with hot hostesses who knock him out.

On today’s Wake Up With the CW, Krystal Allen and I peruse the poultry from Village Meat & Wine (along with a rib eye of camel!?!), as she gooses me into revealing my plans for a “Thanksgiving Most Fowl” this coming Thursday.
(For the record, ELV resisted mightily the urge to make a camel-toe joke to Krystal or Kim Wagner during the live broadcast. But we were thinking about. Oh yes we were.)
The actual name for the Thanksgiving feast being planned at the ELV kitchen is “Thanksgiving Confit-dential,” as we plan on serving confit of both canard and oie to our usual guests.
With any luck, camel toe will be also be on the menu.
