Eat This Now – Crispy Duck Salad at WEERA THAI

There are two great Issan Thai restaurants in Las Vegas….and Lotus of Siam is the other one.

Lotus may have its nam ka sod, koi soi, crispy fish and fantastic Rieslings, but Weera Thai has this crispy duck salad — a crunchy, ducky delight that hits every flavor profile known to the human tongue.

Sweet, savory, pungent, tangy and hot, it combines the best of sweet, lacquered and crackling fowl, buried under a mound of lettuce, cashews, cubed mangoes, cherry tomatoes, sliced onions and cilantro. Sprinkle on some sweet/sour/chile-infused dressing, and you have a dish fit for a  Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramintharamaha Chulalongkorn Phra Chunla Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua.*

Best of all, it costs only $13.95…which is hardly a king’s ransom for such princely eats.

Just thought you’d like to know.

You are not kidding! This menu is exciting, and we don’t find such choices at any other Thai restaurant (you can keep Lotus of Siam which gets too much attention anyway). If you like taking risks with food, you’ll only be thrilled at Weera. I was espec. happy to see duck featured in so many ways. This is a mom & pop & deserves my accolades time after time. And, I might add, the prices are most palatable.

Yes, Archi’s is consistently excellent & I’ve been going for 8 years, but Archi needs to have either a weekly special or add something new to the menu.
