Myrna Donato’s Books Are Cooked

ELV is hard at work this week on a feature article about Lou and Myrna Donato’s  16,000+ cookbook collection at the Amber Unicorn Bookstore:

Of course, we were more than fascinated with what was cooking with Aunt Bee in Mayberry:

…but found ourselves strangely drawn to the James Beard-like musings of J.R. Schwartz:

  1. My favorite odd cook book in my collection is the 1947 Blondie’s Cook Book.

    Which of course starts with the Dagwood sandwich.
