This Just In – BLUE RIBBON to be Closed Until May

April 19, 2011 By: John Curtas Category: Events

For those not in the know: Blue Ribbon in The Cosmo was the victim of a huge water leak coming from its ANSEL fire suppression system on April 12th, causing it to be shut down indefinitely.

We just received the official release from the hotel on the matter this morning, that reads:

“A cold water line break at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on April 12 has resulted in the temporary closure of Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill. Construction teams continue to make repairs to the restaurant to maintain the integrity of its original architecture and design, in collaboration with the Blue Ribbon team. Employees of Blue Ribbon have been placed on a paid temporary leave and Blue Ribbon management will offer additional training sessions during this time. All parties are committed to providing a speedy yet thorough resolution, and expect the restaurant to fully re-open to guests this May.

The Race and Sports Book by Cantor Gaming has reopened today” – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Let us all hope for a speedy repair time, and lots of insurance coverage.
