Marilyn Chambers and I were about the same age; a fact that occurred to me for no apparent reason during a wild party I attended in her suite at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas in the late summer of 1995. Thoughts of that crazy bash, and what she meant to my generation, flashed in my brain when I heard the news of her death a few days ago while I was in New York.

In the coming weeks we’ll be twittering(?) tweeting(?) from the major food events that are coming up — from DISH to Epicurean Affair to Vegas Uncork’d, as well as the 6-10 different restaurants we eat in every week.
And even though we don’t understand why it’s such a phenomenon, or who would be interested in one sentence descriptions of our many meals, or what the hell we’re doing acting like a 15 year old girl (furiously texting on our cellphone in public places), ELV and his staff will henceforth be providing this service(?) to our readers on a trial basis to see if there’s an interest or following out there.
