Think of it as a Georgian pizza….or a Slavic toad in the hole. Whatever you think of it, don’t think for a minute you won’t fall in love with its combination of Sulugini-style, sour cheese atop yeasty, puffy, doughy-yet-dense fresh bread (baked on premises to order), all stirred together inside the “bread boat” with a fresh, cracked egg.

It might be the perfect hangover food…or carbo load for you marathoners out there. Whatever your waistline, if you’re a fresser, you will find it irresistible.

FORTE – First Bites

Food writers around town are falling all over themselves singing the praises of this joint on South Rainbow near Flamingo. Insofar as it is something new on our food scene — a Spanish/Russian(?)/Bulgarian(??)/Georgian(???)/Bosnian(???????) tapas place — there is a certain appeal to discovering a world of food that usually gets short shrift in America.
