MICHAEL’S – They Shoot Horses Don’t They? (Revised)

We at ELV have thought long and hard about our withering critique of this place, and have come to a completely opposite conclusion.

Most of the review is unchanged, but we’ve added a few paragraphs at the end that gives the devil his due, and makes a modest proposal that all major Strip properties should consider. (Hint: If every hotel had a Michael’s, perhaps we’d all be better off.)

Effective two weeks ago, David Werly — the chef responsible for Le Cirque gaining a Michelin star — has left the Maccioni empire for a position in Miami (Florida, not Oklahoma).

Effective today, Gregory Gorreau — Executive Chef at Payard Patisserie and Bistro, and one of our favorite dudes in food — has left Las Vegas to return to France to be closer to his family.
