Eating Las Vegas in general, and ELV in particular, will be heading out of town for the new few days to San Francisco, where he will be asserting and defending the legal rights of the City of Las Vegas in his new job as Deputy City Attorney.

Therefore, his posts on this Web site will be taking a short sabbatical. If you wish to follow his eating adventures in the City by the Bay (where he plans on squeezing in at least a half dozen spectacular meals), please feel free to join him on either Twitter @EatingLasVegas or Instagram @JohnCurtas. (Sorry, but our Facebook fan following is filled up with frolicking and fulsome foodies.)

That is all.

  1. Thank you a bunch for sharing this with all of us you really know what you’re speaking about!
Bookmarked. Kindly additionally seek advice feom my site =).

We may have a hyperlink change agreement among us

  2. Please, sir, for all that is good and Holy, refrain from calling San Fransisco “Frisco”, or even “San Fran”. You may call it San Franscisco, the city, or the city by the bay.

  3. ELV responds: We use the word ‘Frisco precisely because we know it annoys the natives so. As much as we love San Fran, the arrogance and imperiousness of its citizens has amazed us for over four decades. Call it one little shot (fired again and again) in the war against urban elitism.

  4. If you *really* want to annoy the natives of any given city, just add the “-land” suffix to it. Seattleland, Miamiland, Atlantaland, etc. I’ll do this on occasion, and when the inevitable protest follows, I ask if they’ve ever referred to the Chicago area as “Chicagoland”. The normal reply? “Sure. But that’s different.” As for SF, a case could be made that the football squad should now be the known as the San Franciscoland 49ers since the new stadium is way down the 101 in Santa Clara. :)
