ELV Takes a Few Days Off; the Food World Shrugs

May 24, 2012 By: John Curtas Category: Critics, Miscellaneous

In case you haven’t noticed, ELV is going a little light on the posts and articles this week.

Due to some circumstances beyond his control, and some within, he has decided to take a few days off and give his brain, mouth, fingers and liver a rest.

He’s also hoping the respite might rekindle his appetites and inspiration for food writing — since nothing he’s eaten in the past year has done the trick.

You can expect regular postings commence a-new this weekend.

Best and bon appetit,

ELV

Are you “resting” at 7 Hills Behavioral Hospital?
I “rested” there myself a couple years ago, great pudding.

The food world doesn’t shrug when you are out, we mourn not having your reviews and we wonder what you are eating while the pen is quiet.

Come back, I miss you. You lighten my days and make me wish I was out & about & having fun.

Ok breaks over. This town needs you Curtas.
There have only been 2 websites in the last 3 years that I have visited everyday, and eatinglv.com is one of them. Don’t make me take you off that list.

You’re Rushmore in a Transformers 2 town. You’re a Toyota 2000GT in a sea of Hummer H2’s. Are we supposed to start getting our food advice from the RJ? Yelp?

So the pity party needs to end now. Put on your white suit need, venture back out into this dusty whore of a city, and do your damn job :)

Yes, I too am in mourning. In fact, I’m shocked and confused by your sudden absence. I may never recover, in fact.
