PAPA GEO’S – Whatta Way to Go!

People may actually be having heart attacks at the Heart Attack Grill, but we’re here to tell ya, they’re having their myocardial infarctions in the wrong place.

For food worth dying for, dive into a breaded or pizzaiola beef sandwich at Papa Geo’s. With good, juicy meat, tangy tomato sauce, lots of oozing cheese inside rolls with just the right amount of squish, this is old-school umami eating at its best. Be aware, sometimes the breaded beef can be a tad chewy, so those with denture problems should stick with the pizzaiola — a shaved beef beauty that might be the best Italian sub in town.

Even better are the panzerotti (don’t call them calzones!) — a slightly sweet, folded over pie dough stuffed with cheese, sauce and meat that melts in your mouth (and in your heart) from the first bite.

Fresh, handmade sandwiches made by people who are passionate about their product? That’s not a franchise? In Las Vegas?

Yup….and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Just don’t tell your cardiologist.

Our lunch for two, which could’ve fed five, came to $30.
