This Just In: Massimiliano Campanari — the chef with more vowels (and consonants) in his name than anyone in town, and the top toque we thought would be steering the Circo ship back to its former prominence — is no longer with the restaurant.

Details are as murky as a minestra di farro, but regardless of the reasons, here’s hoping Max will make a comeback…

…which he tells us will soon happen at Lavo.
