Just when great notices were starting to pour in from the New York press, it was announced yesterday that Bill and Saipan Chutima have terminated their New York partnership and will be returning to Vegas full time:
We at ELV wish Bill Chutima a speedy recovery, and as much as we were cheering for Lotus to make a big splash in that biggest of restaurant ponds…we’re happy they will be returning full time to our humble burg.
It seems to me the Chutina’s were taken for a ride.
Their old “partner” gets to keep operating under the name “Lotus of Siam” and had a few months to learn and keep the Chutima’s prized recipes.
