DR - when are you in for Uncork'd? We'll have to do another Asian-inspired dining feast as I didn't make the last one!

I've been to HK Star many times. It's decent but no where near the quality of China Mama in the same parking lot

Great review and photos ELV. I am salivating over those lamb chops and the prawns bursting with roe.

It's been just over a year since I joined you and Steven Shaw, (the New Yorker known as "The Fat Guy"), at Ping Pang Pong for a Dim Sum Feast.

Steven has authored many words on Cantonese dining and knows his stuff. He and I agree that Ping Pang Pong is far better than some of the other Asian restaurants in the fancy-dancy resorts on the strip. What a feast it was! Can't wait to go back.

Off strip ethnic, sage, twist, bar masa, silly press events, etc. *sad sigh* It's really too bad that that middle aged kids can't legally adopt dudes in their mid twenties.

Wow! Looks great. Not to be too picky, but it's my understanding that true Kobe beef -- beef from the Hyogo Prefecture, around Kobe -- isn't being imported. The beef packaging indicates it's wagyu from Japan, but I couldn't see a point of origin.
