Thank you, Mr. ELV. And bwdining, he’s right. While I do sometimes think he’s a little too harsh on our “Place to Call Home”, I still must admit that even the most exciting day at The District or Town Square just doesn’t compare to the everyday hubbub of The Strip. I guess a seat at Cheesecake Factory’s patio is OK, but it just doesn’t match Sunday brunch high above Las Vegas Blvd. at First or a casual dinner right in front of The Bellagio Fountains at Mon Ami Gabi (which, btw, offers FAR better food than the other side of those fountains at Olives).

Oh, and btw, I’ll never forget my March trip here (back when the seller of the condo was considering my offer to end his short sale) when I stayed at Encore. It was SOOOOOO much better looking from the other side of Las Vegas Blvd., scoffing at all you “hoi polloi” munching on a Stripburger as I was on my way to Daniel Boulud or Sinatra. For once in my life, I acted like a snob and totally reveled in the experience. ;-)

Thank you for your post. I would have to follow you on the Fleur de Lys, I would recommend it for the food more than people watching though! At Fox Rent A Car Blog, we try to give travel advice and give people the inside scoop on where to eat, and the off the beaten path sites to not miss in different cities. Your post present a good list of restaurants.

Ok John, I can’t disagree with any of your selections, but most of us don’t go to the strip quite as often as you do to eat. Any picks for off-strip people watching? I have a few but as this is your blog you go first.

Another place to hang…Cocktails at Parasol Down Bar at Wynn is good too..

ps..Palm Steakhouse – Ignore the steaks is right….went there twice and both times it was terrible.
