Food For Thought-Bad Manners

On this week’s Food For Thought-heard on Nevada Public Radio (www.knpr.org)- we address the “free dessert” dodge that restaurants use to (try to) placate a customer when something goes really wrong with a meal. I don’t know about you, but I’d consider a piece of twisted metal in my gnocchi a definite buzz kill….worthy of more reparation than a lousy piece of cheesecake.

BTW: the offending restaurant was B&B Ristorante (Molto Mario’s place) in the Venetian.

  1. Sad but something has changed at B&B. Went there the first week they opened and had one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I went back a few months ago and it seems a different restaurant. Very sad, hope they get things turned back around.

  2. I keep hearing what a great guy Batali is, and how he and Bastianich “get it” (whatever that means), but their restaurants just seem overblown, arrogant and boring to me-not to mention astoundingly overpriced. For Italian food in Vegas, I’ll take Circo or Valentino anyday…..or Nora’s Wine Bar in Summerlin.
